  • representing major companies, including financial institutions, media and retail companies, in headquarters office leases ranging in size from 100,000 rentable square feet to in excess of 1,400,000 rentable square feet
  • assisting corporate and private investment firm clients acquire the assets of companies in various businesses and finance and refinance the assets of those businesses, including the $2.8 billion acquisition and financing of the ConAgra Trade Group, a subsidiary of ConAgra Foods with more than 100 facilities throughout the United States, and a fund’s acquisition and financing of the coal operation of MAPCO consisting of over 150,000 acres of coal in five states
  • representing Legends Hospitality in the development of the “One World Observatory” located on the top three floors of One World Trade Center
  • preparing and filing offering plans to convert residential and commercial property in New York to cooperative and condominium ownership (including organizing and working with architects, contractors, managing agents and selling agents to ensure efficient completion of the conversion process)
  • representing an internationally renowned jeweler in its flagship retail and headquarters office lease in New York and retail shops throughout the United States
  • representing Tishman Speyer Properties in the air/development rights transfer to, and subsequent design and construction of, the building known by the street address 520 Madison Avenue, New York City
  • representing a distributor of alcoholic beverages and owner of a large warehouse and distribution center in Brooklyn, New York, in entering into a venture with another distributor to form one of the largest alcoholic beverage distributorships in the Northeast (including the mortgaging of properties in connection with revolving and term loan facilities and implementing benefits from The New York City Industrial Development Agency)
  • representing Bumble and bumble in the leasing and development of its new headquarters at 415 West 13th Street, New York City, to be used as corporate offices, photo studio and a product lines and seminar training facility; the leased space comprises over 100,000 square feet and is located on the top six floors of a six-story building in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District
  • representing clients in the purchase and sale of foreign and domestic resort hotels (and negotiation of the management agreements for those properties on behalf of both ownership and management companies)
  • representing clients in leasing and subleasing office, retail, industrial, commercial and warehouse space and truck terminals throughout the United States
  • representing JPMorgan Chase in the development, renovation and leasing of its facilities at 60 Wall Street, 522 Fifth Avenue, 15 Broad Street and 23 Wall Street in New York City, leasing and renovation of numerous of its other facilities in the United States and abroad, and assisting with the outsourcing of its facility management and technology communications operations to third-party service providers
  • representing clients in leasing and construction of restaurant space throughout New York City
  • assisting clients in the purchase and sale of office and industrial buildings throughout the United States and Canada, including the sale of 60 Wall Street, 4 New York Plaza, 349 Fifth Avenue, New York and 601 Travis Street, Houston, Texas (a 1,000,000 square foot tower built on multiple ground leases)
  • representing one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of mobile drilling equipment for oil and natural gas equipment in the United States in connection with acquisition of a business with locations throughout the United States and its growth through acquisitions of additional companies in the United States and Canada (including real estate transactions, environmental due diligence, leasing, buying and selling facilities and financing and refinancing assets over a number of years)
  • representing a joint venture purchaser of 7.9 acres of land for development of a mixed use project in Beverly Hills, California, for $500,000,000
  • representing numerous subsidiaries of the Empire State Development Corporation in large-scale “pp 3 social infrastructure” development projects, including the South Street Seaport, Roosevelt Island (including the construction, operation and maintenance of the Tramway), the Commodore Hotel/Grand Hyatt 42nd Street site condemnation and its subsequent development, the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York, the St. George Hotel in Brooklyn, New York, and the Jacob Javits Convention Center
  • representing a developer in acquiring properties and developing them into office buildings, new lease properties and residential projects (including work on financing, design, construction and later work on the completed enterprise)
  • representing The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries in leasing, acquisition, financing, subletting, design and construction of numerous facilities throughout the United States and Canada, including its headquarters at 767 Fifth Avenue, New York City; and implementation of a specialized retail leasing program for multiple company store locations throughout New York and New Jersey
  • representing individuals and entities in the purchase of residential properties, including cooperatives, condominiums, townhouses and single family homes, with in-depth experience in very high-end properties; our representation has included assisting with design and construction contracts in connection with residential properties throughout the New York metropolitan area
  • representing Sotheby’s, Inc. in the expansion, renovation, sale and repurchase of its legendary York Avenue auction facility at 1334 York Avenue, New York City, as well as the acquisition, leasing, design and construction of other facilities in the United States and Canada
  • representing Ciba-Geigy, Novartis, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, PsychoGenics and Acorda Therapeutics in leasing and renovation of numerous headquarters and laboratory facilities in New York and New Jersey
  • in connection with these representations, engaging, and assisting clients in engaging, architects, contractors, environmental and other consultants, and arranging for and advising clients with respect to Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments and other environmental issues
  • securing and assisting in licensing intellectual property rights both in the United States and abroad
  • representing the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York City, in the completion of the design and construction of the North Tower of the Cathedral, as well as other renovations
  • representing the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation in the development of the World Trade Center Memorial & Museum
  • representing the New York Yankees Partnership in the development and renovation of stadiums and office facilities
  • representing Madison Square Garden in the multiple renovation and refurbishment projects of the Garden Complex, over a period of more than 20 years
  • representing Flagstone Island Gardens in the development of a mixed-use commercial, residential and waterfront project on Watson Island, Miami, Florida, comprised of a mega-yacht marina, retail space in excess of 250,000 square feet, residential towers, two hotels, a fish market and parking garages
  • representing the Battery Park City Authority in the design and construction of Battery Park City’s “pp 3 infrastructure” development, including electrical, gas, water and telephone mains and branches, supporting platforms and piles, sanitary and storm sewers, pubic esplanade, plazas, streets and sidewalks, pedestrian bridges and other civic facilities on 92 acres of land at Battery Park, New York City
  • representing Swig Equities LLC in the development of a mixed-use retail and residential tower in San Francisco, comprised of one million square feet, and the renovation of a mixed-use retail and commercial tower at 48 Wall Street, New York City, comprised of 900,000 square feet
  • representing Random House, Inc. in the development and acquisition of a “build to suit” mixed commercial and residential condominium project, containing in excess of one million square feet, located on Broadway between 55th and 56th Streets in New York City
  • representing R Squared LLC/Reckson in the design and construction of a mixed-use retail and residential condominium building at 180 West Broadway, New York City and a “big box” shopping center, with related on- and off-site utility and other infrastructure work located in Suffolk County, NY
  • representing Buckley-WOR Broadcasting Corp. in the leasing and tenant fit-out of its headquarters facilities at 111 Broadway, New York City, and at 1440 Broadway, New York City
  • representing L.L. Partners L.P./R.S.I. Investments Corporation in the privatization, acquisition and renovation of two landmark buildings in Budapest, Hungary, and leasing of retail space at the Checkpoint Charlie Business Center in Berlin, Germany
  • representing The Equitable Life Assurance Society in the design and construction of the AXA Equitable building, a two-million-square-foot headquarters facility at 787 Seventh Avenue, New York City
  • representing Edison Properties in the renovation, repositioning and redevelopment of The Hippodrome building, New York City, and the redevelopment of garages, parking lots and mini-storage facilities located throughout the tri-state area
  • leasing, design and construction of J. Crew’s headquarters at 770 Broadway, New York City
